POSTED UNDER Charm, Love

Swan Sewel

Color of the day:  Coral
Incense of the day:  Cypress

On this day in 1877, Swan Lake debuted on stage in Moscow. The ballet tells a love story affected by elements of stability (the white swan) and chaos (the black swan). White and black, light and shadow, are part of life and are necessary for balance. Create a sewel (a charm made of string and feathers) to aid in this work. Find or purchase a black feather and a white feather (swan feathers if you can!). Tie a string to each, saying as you do so:

White swan, bring structure.
Blank swan, bring spontaneity.

Tie the strings together and say:

Bless me with the light to see
And the adventure of what will be.

Hang the sewel over your doorway or by your bed to bring the balance of swan magic to your life.
