House for Sale Spell

Color of the day:  Blue
Incense of the day:  Patchouli

If you’re looking to sell a house, the spirit to invoke is St. Joseph. Bury a statue of St. Joseph upside down in your yard when you put your house up for sale, making sure to dig it up once the house has been sold. If you can’t get your hands on a St. Joseph statue, invoke him with some fig cookies. (Fig Newtons work nicely!). Trace a builder’s square (one of Joseph’s symbols) into the cookie with a toothpick, then ask for his help and leave the cookie in the yard for him. When your house sells, make sure you leave another cookie for him as a thank-you.

But what if you’re in the market for a new place to live? Some folks ask Joseph for his help in this area as well, but St. Anthony may be the one to invoke, as he is good at finding things, lost or otherwise:

St. Anthony, who finds it all,
Help me find a new and happy home!

How do you thank St. Anthony once your wish comes to pass? Pay it forward with a charitable donation. (He is also the patron saint of those in need.)
