St. Nicholas Night Spell

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Rose

St. Nicholas Night was a big deal in my household growing up. We would leave a shoe by our bedroom door before bedtime on December 5 and wake up the next day to find it full of fruit and candy!

In addition to being the patron saint of children, St. Nicholas also helps sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, brewers, pawnbrokers, the unmarried, and students.

For this spell, you will need a bag of chocolate coins (which are available in many stores for the season) and an image of St. Nicholas. In the morning, remove six of the chocolate coins. Place three of them in front of the image of St. Nicholas, saying:

Thank you for spontaneous gifts.

Eat the other three chocolate coins.

As you go about your day, place the rest of the coins from the bag where friends or coworkers will find them, wonder, and enjoy them.

At night, share or eat the coins in front of the image.
