This Full Moon in Virgo will occur Thursday, March 8 at 4:40 am Eastern (9:40 am GMT) at 18 degrees. Full Moons represent the culmination of those things that were begun with the New Moon (in this case the February 21 New Moon in Pisces, which found us focusing on the well being of those around us and digging in to our own internal empathy).

The Virgo Full Moon opposes the Sun in Pisces; we are reminded to check ourselves in the progress we made towards our goals set during the Pisces New Moon. There may be some push and pull between Virgo’s need to have everything complete and with no loose ends, while Pisces understands that helping others isn’t always a neat and orderly process.

Be ware, also, that Mercury will begin retrograde motion on Monday, March 12 (until it stations direct again on April 4). There may be some additional confusion brought on by the tendency for communications and plans to go awry during Mercury retrograde; this may make meticulous Virgo additionally uncomfortable. Saturn is also retrograde until June 25, adding to the frustration of any unmet goals or challenges, along with Mars retrograde in Virgo (through April 13). This period of Mars retrograde has us examining our personal energy and how we are spending it; during the Virgo Full Moon, we may be forced to examine whether or not we are spending enough energy on those  around us.
