A couple weeks ago there was a trend on Facebook that prompted users to change their profile photos to their celebrity doppleganger. (Mine was Amy Adams as Julie Powell in Julie and Julia.) Ever since then, I've been thinking of dopplegangers. We've always heard about "evil twins," often as a plot device in movies/tv shows/books. I think my favorite was Samantha/Serena on Bewitched. Willow's doppleganger on Buffy is the most recent one I can think of, but I don't watch a lot of television these days. There are a few very well-known figures who have met their dopplegangers, and being true to the "bad things are about to befall you" reputation they have, the person died within a short period

I think I might be a little concerned if I noticed Oscar spending time in my room, though...
My cat Saberhagen is very perceptive to things. (Her sister, Salem, is too self-absorbed to be bothered by anything other than the food dish.) Saber's eyes will be darting all over the room and there isn't a shadow around. I always wonder what she can see. If only cats
