Hello, my name is Amy Glaser and I’m the new paranormal acquisitions editor. I started on August 17, and the past month has been a whirlwind! I have been in the publishing industry for the past ten years, but this is my first employer change in those ten years. Change is good, and it was time to shake things up a bit. This opportunity came around and it was a perfect fit. I just didn’t expect to shake things up as much as I initially expected. I fell off my bike and broke my arm two days before my first day on the job. As it’s always been with me, life will be at an even keel and then so much change happens at once! It can be a challenge to stay sane, but it does a good job of taking me out of my comfort zone and learning more about what I can handle. Patience and adaptability have been the two latest lessons.

I have always been fascinated with the paranormal world. I’ve had quite a few experiences in my lifetime to solidify my belief in ghosts, intuition/psychic ability, and past lives. I am not a psychic or medium by any means, but my senses are definitely heightened. At times I’m more in tune to things, and when I’m not, I see it as a sign to get myself back on track. With the craziness of this summer, life is finally starting to calm down and I’m more at tune with my surroundings.

This past month I’ve been doing a lot of research into the paranormal world. Exploring all the different facets, brushing up on my knowledge, and trying to absorb everything in my new environment. There is so much out there to learn and explore! It has been a wonderful experience so far, and the gears in my brain are ticking away with ideas.

Future posts will include books that are being released soon, some of my personal experiences, and what’s buzzing around the media outlets and in the paranormal world. I hope that I can write as insightful and entertaining posts as my colleagues! I’m in wonderful company and will rely on their knowledge and experience to help me create my own niche here.
