The Mystic Faerie Tarot is a thing of beauty, in my opinion. First, the art is unquestionably lovely; Linda Ravenscroft did an amazing job. Second, the cards feel like old friends but are different enough to be engaging. Third, the treatment of the Minor Arcana is really unique. Each suit tells a little fairy tale. This is so helpful for beginners, as once they learn the story they can easily learn the card meanings. The visual and story-telling cues make it easy. Here are a few of my favorite cards–shown extra large because I like them so much:
