Readers, please enjoy this guest blog post by Melanie Barnum, author of several books, including Psychic Abilities for Beginners, The Book of Psychic Symbols, Llewellyn’s Little Book of Psychic Development, and the new Intuition at Work.

When was the last time you intentionally used your intuition at work? Do you know? Can you remember? If you’re like so many others, it may be hard to put your finger on it. However, chances are you have utilized your gut instincts, it just may be that you haven’t recognized it as such. The good news is that that can be easily remedied—whether you are the boss or the employee.

When we are young, we learn we can be anything, do anything, and have anything we want. So, why do we begin limiting ourselves when we become adults? Often, it’s because we’ve stopped trusting our innate gifts and shut down our natural abilities that we were born with. But, knowing that you can use your ever-developing abilities in business allows you to believe that you can, for sure, be fierce. Here are three ways to put your intuition to work for you!

  1. Utilize your gut instincts to help you discover the career path that will make you truly happy. When you allow yourself to feel, intuitively, what your heart desires you are giving credence to your gut instincts. You are telling yourself it’s okay to feel where and how you want to spend so much of your time. You give yourself permission to let your intuition guide you to not ever having to “work” again, because, like the old adage says, “When you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
  2. Understanding with whom you’re working and the type of person with whom you are dealing can be key to creating a mutually successful team or association. Using your intuition to help you gain insight by feeling their energy provides you with a leg up. Tapping into that same sixth sense helps you know when and how to expand your energy to become influential, and powerful. And, that power can help you realize your goals.
  3. Find the perfect balance by combining your cognitive with your intuitive skills. It can be just what you need to bring about a complete picture and guide you in the direction you need to go. When you do that you are utilizing all your senses, both physical and metaphysical, which provides you with a much fuller understanding. When you take the extra step to connect to your intuition, you’ll feel a bit less vulnerable because you’ll be more confident. Doing a simple assessment by checking in with what your gut instincts are telling you can help you decrease your risks and narrow down which path will be most beneficial for you.

Leveraging your intuition to get ahead in business provides you with so many opportunities and can be just what you’ve been missing. It’s time to step into your power and realize there are no limits to how far you can go!
