You never can tell what you're going to capture on camera, and a Denver man definitely captured something unique on his video camera. He had set up his camera in a Denver suburb and aimed it at the Denver skyline. When reviewing the footage, he saw a blip of something, and when he slowed it down, he saw an unidentified flying object. He shot more footage around the same time every day and captured more antics of this UFO, which can't be seen by the naked eye.
Wanting to know more information, the man sent the footage to a local television station. The station enlisted the help of an aviation expert to examine the reported UFO footage. The expert was baffled. He had no idea what was
A perk with my job is that I work with a lot of psychics and mediums on a professional basis. In doing so, I get a lot of snippets about life and what's ahead. It is usually tacked on at the end of a conversations or email and goes, "By the way, don't worry about that guy. It will all be resolved in time." Everyday when I fire up my computer and rifle through my email, I always look forward to what the Writer's Almanac has in store for me. I find that reading a poem before I start my work day gives me a bit of peace and centers me before I launch into the busy work day.
Thanks to today's entry, I was reminded that today is H.P. Lovecraft's birthday!
I must be honest, I didn't know anything about Lovecraft before I started working here, but in the three years that I have been the acquisitions editor in charge of all things paranormal, I have learned a bit about him thanks to working on The Dream World of H.P. Lovecraft by Donald Tyson. I am forever amazed at the creativity of people, but
