Term: Polyamory

DEFINITION:

Also spelled polyamoury, the belief the humans are not monogamous by nature and can love more than one person simultaneously. Although based on love, communication, and honesty, some people use the term to falsely mean cheating on a partner, having many sexual partners, etc. Some Pagans follow a polyamorous lifestyle, living in groups similar to the communes of half a century ago. Polyamory requires a great deal of personal security and a strong sense-of-self in order to limit negative influences.
