Your Vibrational Frequency Is Everything: How to Get Unstuck, Move Forward, and Embody Higher States of Being

Woman with Hands Outstretched Toward Sun

Your vibrational frequency is a vital concept to focus on and cultivate as it directly shapes your inner well-being and your outer reality. In my latest book, Your Highest Vibration: Realize Your Full Potential Through Chakra Work and Meditation, I define one's vibrational frequency as "…your inner world of thought, emotions, words, outlook, all of which make up your energetic field…" What I'm pointing at is that positive thinking is an essential part of feeling good and directing your energy for manifesting a fulfilling life, but it's only one part of the greater picture. Every part of us is creative, and my goal in this article is to highlight that fact and offer insights and ways to harness your inner power and potential.

Let's start by looking at ways to get unstuck, as it will lay a solid foundation moving forward. We're briefly going to look at some of the main roadblocks that prevent us from moving forward, and they're all based on focus and awareness. This is great news because if our inner and outer world is based on perception, we can decide to choose differently, thereby shifting out of the old and into the new in terms of experience. The following three points highlight how we can sometimes get stuck on an energetic or thought level. With each point offered, a solution will be presented to assist you in shifting out of the repetitive cycle and into some relief.

1. Too much focus on the past and future. Many of us, myself included, have experienced the trap of feeding the past and future with our attention. Keep in mind: there's nothing wrong with reflecting on these mental concepts, but solely keeping one's attention and energy on them is what keeps so many of us perpetuating a feeling of being stuck. The solution to shifting out of incessant past/future thinking is two-pronged. The first step is to become aware that the present moment is all there ever is. This concept requires your personal examination and contemplation in order to accept or resonate with it. When new concepts are introduced, they are often resisted, even disregarded, because they challenge our personal status quo. But with some insight and clarity, we can see the past and future for what they are. If you were to briefly look at the past, through present moment awareness, you would see that it's only experienced in the mind, as thoughts and even feelings, positive or negative. And if you looked a little deeper, you could recognize that the past has only unfolded in the present, the now moment. The future, from a deep awareness of the now, never arrives, but is experienced as excitement or anticipation, and for many also fear, worry, and anxiety. It's our identification with the mental concepts of past/future that creates attachments and suffering.

This brings us to the second step or key to getting unstuck: you have the freedom and time to choose differently. What I mean is that just because a thought has presented itself does not mean that you have to accept it as truth, nor that it will come to pass. In this space-time reality, we are afforded the "time" to choose differently. The past often contains guilt, anger, shame, regret, and conversely, even past-based happiness. The future often offers thoughts of fear, lack, resistance, and uncertainty. By highlighting what the past and future offer, you can decide to set a new course moving forward and choose your thoughts consciously by focusing on that which you desire to experience rather than what has been.

Here are some examples of negative thinking, and the conscious thoughts/intentions you can begin to employ to start to create some inner balance and move forward. It's important to note that powering your thoughts with belief is important, but to come from a space of knowledge and conviction is even more powerful and timeline-shifting.

Negative thinking: "I feel stuck; I can't seem to get ahead."
Positive thinking: "I am moving forward and focused on positive change."

Negative thinking: "Bad things keep happening to me."
Positive thinking: "I am a magnet for goodness and abundance."

Negative thinking: "Nothing ever works out for me."
Positive thinking: "I am releasing the limitations of the past and letting go of any resistance."

It's important to mention that your thoughts, words, and the way you feel about your life—your outlook—are what determine your experience in the moment. Thoughts are portals or doorways to different timelines. The key is to be determined—exercise your will—and be persistent in your conscious choices as you let go of how and when change or the manifestation takes place.

2. Too much focus on circumstances. A large part of our human conditioning is being outwardly focused. There's nothing wrong with this initially, because it offers a starting point, a level of consciousness for us to springboard from so we can grow and expand in awareness. Issues only arise when we allow outer negativity to be repeated in our minds, which ferment limiting beliefs, perceptions, and stress. Earth is currently going through a collective shift in consciousness, and the negativity and drama that humans have been entertaining for thousands of years is reaching a precipice. The darkness, separation, and negativity are reaching an all-time high, surfacing, so it can be looked at consciously, forgiven, and released, so that a new earth can unfold. The outer world, with all its confusion and chaos, is also serving as a reminder to go within and reconnect with the stillness of your inner being where clarity and peace reside. The doorway back to your inner being or highest self is always this instant: the present moment.

When it comes to our circumstances, it's important to be aware of the following: they don't matter. What really matters is your vibrational frequency. Having this awareness is what shifts you from being a victim of circumstances to a conscious participant or responder in your life. If you're currently experiencing something that no longer resonates with you, you can decide to no longer resist it by letting go of the negative thoughts and emotions perpetuating the circumstance in your mind. The key is to become an observer of the thinking mind, rather than a reactor. Reaction is what perpetuates states of being, positive or negative. Observation of thought and emotion through expanded awareness is what starves negativity and reclaims your vital energy in the process. I should also note that making the decision to observe rather than react is not suppression whatsoever. The transformative power of your inner being, which is the silent witness, your authentic self, is more than capable of transmuting any and all negativity. Being aligned with the silent witness through observation is what allows the highest self to come to the forefront of your awareness, as stillness and inner peace.

As you begin to move beyond your circumstances internally through greater awareness, you set the stage to choose differently. This includes choosing thoughts, words, and feelings based on what you desire to experience next. Be mindful that conscious choosing or manifesting is not based on the limitations of the past or what has been but instead on the potential and possibilities in the surrounding unified field—the unseen spiritual realm that supports this world and all miracles.

3. Entertaining the belief that life is fixed and not malleable to our vibrational frequency. This is an incredibly important limiting belief that needs to be addressed and replaced, as it has the tendency to sponsor further self-imposed limitations. When we are solely focused on the outer world and forget the power of our inner world to make shifts in the outer, an atmosphere of despair and hopelessness can be unconsciously cultivated. The solution is to become keenly aware that you are a powerful creator who calls forth their personal reality through their vibrational frequency. This is why it's vital to bring mindfulness to your moments, and remain anchored in the present as a point of power as you go about your day. Manifesting a fulfilling life is a moment-by-moment process. Waiting for external things to change before we experience fulfilment or happiness is a trap, as it is attachment-based. You can choose to experience fulfillment right here and now by reconnecting with your inner being through the now moment—this is the key to spiritual embodiment. Your inner being is experienced as the silence between your thoughts, and can be felt as peace and calm through meditation. Fulfillment can be allowed to unfold through practices such as gratitude and appreciation and by focusing on your relationship with Source.

Life or Source responds to our vibrational frequency because all of life is a mirror. What we put out is what is returned, positive or negative. Understanding this leads not only to greater self-empowerment but spiritual maturity, because the realization is that nothing is being done to us but for us. The challenges we face, including undesirable circumstances, are meant to offer the contrast so we can choose differently and grow in faith and trust in the process. There are no limits to what we can be, do, or have. Every moment is an opportunity to awaken and choose differently. You have come already fully equipped to manifest the life of your dreams. You have but to awaken to your potential and power that's made possible through your oneness with Source.
