Hello San Diego—Saturday, Sept. 11

For many years I lived in the San Diego area. It was while living in Encinitas, part of the North County area of San Diego, that I began teaching classes on occultism and magick, and where I learned Oriental Massage. Later, I moved to the city itself, sharing an apartment with Scott Cunningham. It was while I was there that I took all of my notes and experience from the classes I taught and wrote Modern Magick.

As part of my thanks to the people in the community, I am returning to San Diego this coming Saturday, the 11th of September, to participate in the San Diego Pagan Pride Day event. The event is being held in beautiful Balboa Park. It will be at the corner of 6th and El Prado on the North Lawn. It will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is a FREE, family-friendly event. It’s also dog-friendly (but keep your fur friend on a leash). There are going to be lots of booths, vendors, food, music, rituals, places to picnic, and workshops. I repeat, it is free, but please bring a non-perishable food item (or two or more) to donate.

This is ideal for solitary practitioners and those who work in groups and covens. It is a wonderful place to make new friends and see what other people are doing.

I’ll be giving a workshop called “Easy Magick” at 2:00 p.m. Here is what I’ll be sharing:

Too often, magick seems either too complex or so simple it couldn’t possibly work (and usually doesn’t). The truth is, magick can be both easy and powerful. It can be done anywhere without robes, chalices, weird words, or calling on angels or demons. This safe, powerful system can help make your dreams come true. Based on inner secrets of the Kabalah and an understanding of how magick and the mind work.

This workshop will be completely free. Afterward, I’ll be signing books. This will probably be your very last chance to get a copy of the 2nd edition of Modern Magick from me. Very soon it will become a collector’s item and will never again be printed. In the future I’ll only be offering the revised and expanded 3rd edition of Modern Magick.

San Diego’s Balboa Park

If you live in any nearby area, you may want to come by and make a day of it. Balboa Park is an absolute delight. It has amazing things to do, including the world-famous zoo, the Fleet Space Center, and numerous museums. It’s well worth a trip (or a weekend) in San Diego.

Be sure to come to my workshop and say, “Hello.” For more details on the San Diego Pagan Pride Day event, visit the SDPP Website. For more details on where I’ll be appearing, see my website.
