If you need to separate yourself from a person, this would be an excellent time to do a "cut-away" spell to sever your psychic connection. This could be a former boyfriend or girlfriend, an ex-spouse, someone you used to work with, or even someone you used to consider a friend. You need an athame or other ritual knife for this spell. If you don't have one, the largest kitchen knife you have would work, especially if you have had it for a long time. Do not cast a circle, because you want to interact with the energies outside of you. Stand facing north and point the knife away from you. Chant "_____, I cut you out of my life" over and over while turning in a circle, pointing the knife away from you until you reach the position you started in. Then point your knife down, and touch the tip to the ground.
