| The Virgin Mary was said to have appeared to monks at Mt. Carmel in Palestine on this day in 1251. This day is celebrated around the world in her honor. Since the Holy Virgin is the Christianized form of the Goddess, this is a good day to perform spells for abundance and prosperity.
Cut a small bouquet of black-eyed Susans and place them in a clear glass vase or jar. Set the vase on a mirror in front of a window where the Sun's rays can shine upon them. Replace the flowers before they fade three times during the week. Try to begin and end this ritual on a Monday. As you set the flowers on the mirror, "see" the Goddess blessing your home with abundance and prosperity. Visualize the mirror magnifying and reflecting good fortune thoughout your home and your life. |
