The Path of a Christian Witch

Readers, please enjoy this guest blog post by Adelina St. Clair, author of The Path of a Christian Witch.

I spent the last four years steeped in the writing of The Path of a Christian Witch. Writing has become such an essential part of my life and it gives me great pleasure to contribute to this blog today.

I took up writing about Christian Witchcraft for two main reasons. First of all, there is very little literature on Christian Paganism, and when I say very little, I am being generous. The second reason for writing this book was an ever-present hope that there were others like me out there, others struggling between their love of Jesus and the magic of the Goddess. I wanted to give these seekers a place to start, a place to call home and a dream of community. I also wanted to begin a new dialogue between strict Pagans and Christians by offering a new way of seeing Christianity. I hope that my stories will reach people of both faiths on a deeply personal level.

So, for four years, every moment I could spare went into the writing of my journey towards becoming a Christian Witch. I thought that the final printing of the book would feel like the culmination of my efforts. I thought it would feel like finally arriving at a long sought destination. Well, it doesn’t feel that way at all! Emails from people professing Christian Pagan affiliations are starting to trickle in. Their message is  loud and clear: We are here!  Just as I had hoped….

So instead of feeling like a conclusion, it is the beginning of a brand new journey. I hope the few pages  I put together will be the beginning of many journeys of peace and discovery. Until we meet, may your roads be filled with love and happiness.

Hello,
I’m an interested and eager-to-learn Christian Witch-except for the fact that I have never practiced or preformed any magic or done anything related to witchcraft. I have checked my local library for some books on it, but none have existed. I’m trying to find an equal balance between my belief in God and Jesus, and the ability to channel magick for the betterment of myself and loved ones around me. Can you help me getting started on understand the basics of being a witch, specifically a Christian one, or perhaps give me some good beginner’s literature to read up on so that I may educate myself and begin my new life as a Christian Witch?

I’m excited to read this book as soon as I can afford to make the purchase! I believe there are many who will be interested in the subject. Contrary to popular belief, Christianity and Witchcraft do not have to be an either/or dichotomy.
