Raven Grimassi talks about The Cauldron of Memory

Raven Grimassi recently uploaded a YouTube video in which he explains some of the concepts behind his book, The Cauldron of Memory: Retrieving Ancestral Wisdom & Knowledge.

Watch here:

This book is a particular favorite of mine, because as I like to say – we all have dead people! Rather than focusing on Wicca or Italian witchcraft as he has done in many of his previous books, Grimassi really branched out with this book, writing for a wider audience of Pagans. You don’t need to be a Wiccan to read and benefit from this book – you just have to be open to the idea of contacting and communing with your ancestors, whose blood runs through your own veins. The book illustrates how ancestral memory could be coded into our DNA, and how you can access that today for richer magic and more meaning in your life.

I am systematically working through this book and the exercises. This book makes a lot of sense and it fits in with almost all pagan, witchcraft and shamanic paths. It takes a lot of patience to get through all the work, it can´t be rushed. As Raven suggests, to read and re-read the chapters to get a full grasp and understanding of the mythology behind the rituals. I am awaiting for the mandrakes to mature before going on to exercise five. It´s a pity the original meditation cards are no longer available.
