A term used in astrology to describe an image where planets in a birth chart form a geometric shape such as a triangle, star, or square. There are currently eight accepted shapes:

• Beneficial Geometric Planetary Configurations (The Star of David, The Grand Trine, The Kite)
• Ambiguous Geometric Planetary Configurations (The Yod or Finger of God, The Basket, The Golden Rectangle)
• Turbulent Geometric Planetary Configurations (The T-Square, The Grand Cross)

Beneficial Geometric Planetary Configurations are believed to indicate a person's major life themes or life purpose.
