Incense of the day: Lilac The belief in the evil eye is taken quite seriously in many parts of the world. To break the curse of the evil eye, read the following spell. In the evening before you retire, Sit before a crackling fire. At your side gather an earthen bowl Filled with water and a drop of olive oil, Nine whole cloves (Jupiter's incense) That will break the hex. Scry into the bowl to reveal the curse. Gaze until you see a face. Then say: "By the powers of heaven and fate, I turn back the look of hate." Cast the cloves onto the fire, and this will destroy the evil stare. Let the fire die, as it does the curse will break. Pour the water mixture onto the ground outside your home. |
