| Yemaya is a beautiful black mermaid and the goddess of the rain, the water, and the seven seas. Yemaya will answer your call for gentle life-giving rain so long as you are wise and word your spell carefully. Correspondences for Yemaya include coral beads, the colors blue and white, and seashells. Yemaya demands an offering, however, and a section of a fresh melon, sliced up and placed on a plate in the garden, works nicely. Be sure to leave the offering alone: allow nature and Yemaya to reclaim it as she sees fit.
