| This ritual will help you contact a deceased loved one. Before you begin, smudge the space with white sage or wormwood. You'll also need a magic mirror, two white candles, and a small bell.
Light the candles on your altar, and between them place the magic mirror. Center yourself. Then softly say the person's name three times. Next, gently ring the bell three times. Softly ask the spirit to appear in the mirror. Wait quietly. You may feel a gentle touch or smell a scent associated with this person. When my grandmother is near, for example, I can smell the scent of jasmine. Before the spirit appears in the mirror, it may mist over. When the spirit appears, you may ask a question. Watch their movements-that's probably how they'll answer. Thank them and bid them farewell. Conclude by ringing the bell three times, then snuff out the candles. |
