| Today is Earth Day, the celebration of our planet and our responsibility for its health and happiness. Today we look around us and appreciate the beauty and splendor that is everywhere, and we reach out to the spirits that reside within the hidden realms of nature.
As is the tradition, plant a tree today somewhere local. Bring along some milk, honey, and cornmeal and place them near the tree as an offering to the spirits of place. Call to the spirits by saying: "Spirits of place, I pray to you. Be here now amongst the true. Come ye, wise ones, do not delay. I bring gifts to guide your way!" Spend time in silence there, reaching out with your consciousness, asking the spirits what you can do and if there is anything you need to know. Then journal about your experience and continue to build your connection with them. |
