Winter is a time for transform ation. The earth quietly begins to change too—bulbs begin to send up growth and seeds drowse before they stir with life as spring nears. It’s also a good time to cast a spell to bring about a positive transformation in your life.

For this spell you’ll need colored pencils, a plain sheet of white paper, an envelope, and a pinch of soil. (Potting soil will do.) Select the colored pencils of your choice, then write down what it is you wish to transform. It could be a new home, a different job, etc. Draw a picture of it too. Fold the paper and put it in the envelope with a bit of soil. Seal the envelope and hide it. Keep it until Imbolc. At Imbolc, either throw away the envelope and its contents or bury it. The transformation should now begin to take place.
