Hygge is a beautiful Norwegian and Danish concept of warmth and coziness that fits well with autumn anywhere. Through Kitchen Witchery, you can enhance hygge elements that you add to your repertoire, such as warming potions, woven pillows that reflect nature's colors, and of course heartwarming comfort foods. Make as many of these as you like. Wear a thimble if needed. Here are instructions to make an orange pomander. Select a bright and healthy orange. Cover it as completely as you can by pushing whole cloves into it without breaking them. Put in a brown paper bag for several weeks. Shake it gently three times a day to distribute the preserving powder, which consists of ¼ cup each of cinnamon, cloves, and anise, powdered. Before you display your pomander, shake to dislodge any excess spices. Now set your pomander in a glass bowl to be enjoyed from every angle. This will delight the senses of sight and smell. |
