| It's the Full Moon! On this most glorious of evenings, venture outside to an area of land heavily guarded by trees and shrubbery. For this solitary ritual, seat yourself in a location where the Moon is visible (if possible). Bring a small, white tealight candle and a brewed pot of jasmine green tea with a cup. When comfortable, stare at the Moon (or gaze in the direction in which She sits in the sky) and take nine very deep, slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. Envision silver, soft white, and violet energy circulating from the Moon to your body. Fill yourself with Her lunar radiance, aligning your own energy to that of the exalted Lady of the Night Sky. Light the tealight candle and hold it up to the Moon. Say something like:
This illumination reflects the glory and beauty of the Great Mother. As She is pure, I thus purify my body and mind. Pour yourself a cup of tea and hold it to the Moon. Say: This tea of jasmine and green represents the cleansing, joy, and abundance of Lady Luna. As I take it into my body, I also take of her infinite essence. Set the cup behind the candle, allowing their energies to intermingle for a few moments. Drink the tea, finish the pot, and blow out the candle. Be sure to pour a cup of tea on the ground as an offering to the spirits and the Moon. |
