Spell: Natural Growing Pains

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

August is a time of transition for many animals born in the spring. Short-lived insects will most likely not survive (or even get to) the coming winter. Other young animals are in the process of preparing for when they'll be turned out on their own. For many species this is a crucial time of learning and developing important skills. Humans go through growing pains, too; if spring is the time of new beginnings, autumn often heralds growth-but not necessarily without trouble. This is a good time to study up on techniques and information you'll need to get through tough times. Even if you aren't facing any pressing issues right now, you very well may in the future. Young animals are good teachers; research what those in your area are learning to prepare for the months ahead, and see if these lessons can help you.
