Spell: A Family Unity Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today the African American community begins the celebration of Kwanzaa. One of this weeklong holiday's principles is unity. The holiday season is a very important time for our communities and families - and friends we love as family, even if they aren't relatives.
Create a unity altar with pictures and mementoes of your loved ones - family, friends, anyone dear to you. You can include pets, too.
In the center of the altar, place a white candle. If you don't have images or symbols for everyone, write their names on pieces of paper. If you don't have a white candle on hand, use a decorative bowl, and place a stone or other item in the bowl for each person you wish to include.
Speak this chant over the altar:

Family, friends, near and far,
Love unites our hearts.
Keep our bond both true and strong,
When we're together or apart.
