| Earth is the element of stability and security. It buffers the volatility of fire, the mutability of water, and the flightiness of air. Draw on the power of earth if you often feel like you have no control over yourself. This can also help if you feel angry or nervous all the time.
Make an earth charm for selfcontrol by placing a handful of garden soil on a 6 × 6-inch square of green cloth. Add a lace agate to promote emotional stability and relaxation. Add a nugget of frankincense for will and self-discipline. Add a pinch of motherwort for emotional health and appropriate boundaries. Then say: "Earth within and Earth below, Teach me what I need to know. Not so quick to flare or flow, But like stone both strong and slow." Tie the bundle closed with black thread.
