| Much of the world has come very far in the treatment of AIDS. There is a better understanding of the causes and non-contagious nature of the disease. Treatment has improved dramatically. Contracting AIDS is no longer the death sentence it used to be.
Unfortunately, ignorance and superstitions about the disease still exist. In your castings today, light a candle and say a prayer for those living with AIDS, for those countries still suffering, and for the governments and religious leaders still cloaked in ignorance. To all the deities of all religions and belief systems in the world or to just one, say: "Send a light, A light of health. Send a light, A light of hope. Open a mind, Open a heart. Send a light, Banish the dark. Send a light, Bring peace." |
