LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Cross-Dressing as a Magickal Act

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Magickal folk are known for being a bit out of the ordinary. Because we often channel the space between the worlds, we can easily perform certain ritualistic acts that merge the space between "this" and "that."
Cross-dressing is an ancient and multicultural practice that helps merge social paradigms of masculinity and femininity. The gender spectrum is rich rather than binary, and numerous gender expressions exist. Contemplate your idea of "male" and "female." If you personally identify with either of these social gender titles, try dressing in clothing that you feel socially represents the "opposite" gender. Perform a ritual(whether a sabbat, an esbat, or a personal working) where you summon and honor the God and Goddess equally. During the ritual, declare your adherence to the mystical arts by boldly displaying yourself as a walker between worlds. Think about what gender roles mean to you, and how you can bend these social standards in your daily existence.
