| To stop someone from gossiping about you, you'll need a piece of paper with the person's handwriting on it. If this is not possible, get something the person has handled. You'll also need a jar, preferably an ambercolored one, plus a black candle and a brown paper bag. Put the paper with the person's handwriting on it in the jar, and put the lid on tightly. Light the black candle, letting the wax drip around the seal. As it does, say:
"I bind your lips tightly, That you'll not talk about me." Place the jar in the brown paper bag, then take it in the direction away from the person who is talking about you-the farther away, the better-and put it in a dark place. When the gossip has stopped, remove the paper from the jar, and burn it along with the brown paper bag in which the jar was stored. |
