Gather some salt, a white candle, a white sage bundle, and a small glass or tea cup. Fill your cup or glass with about a half cup of water. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Add three pinches of salt to the water. Turning clockwise, sprinkle the saltwater in a circle around you. Light the white candle. Pass the smudge bundle through the flame and allow the smoke to pass over and around you. Say: "Blessed moon, full and bright, Shining in the morning light. Light my path both day and night, Be a guide unto me. Three times three I thank thee." Pinch out the candle and snuff out the sage bundle. Go forth and know that it is so. |
