Spell: Doing Good Works

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

When the headlines are just too overwhelming-too many homeless people, too many hungry children, too much violence, too much suffering and pain-we can turn to mother goddesses. We can find small ways to help other people. Set Isis or Hera or another mother goddess on your altar. Cast your circle and say these words:

"Goddesses and gods of the manifest world,
I seek understanding of the purpose of good works and charity.
I want to know what I can do to help __________________.
Holy powers of practical understanding,
Come into my life and guide my every step.
Bless me with your gifts of groundedness and abundance.
Great and generous powers, I want to help.
I need to take what action I can.
Lead me on the path of simple good works.
