| Ferns have been used for centuries by magicians to remove evil spirits. If you feel you're dealing with any dark spirits, this ritual should help you cleanse a space. You'll need two or three fern fronds dried, and some dried white sage. Cast a circle. For protection, sprinkle the white sage around the circle. In your cauldron or a heat-proof dish, build a small fire. Now begin to crumble the fern into the fire. As you do so, in a strong voice say:
"Spirits dark, I am feeding this fern to the fire's spark. And I wish you to hear, I stand before you without fear. Spirits dark, You are commanded to leave this place. By the power of the fern, I cleanse this space." Close the circle and let the ashes cool for seven days. Then throw the ashes into a river or stream. Walk away immediately. |
