Spell: Electrical Gratitude Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Edith Clarke was born on this day in 1883. She was the first woman to earn a master of science degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also worked as a “human computer” and invented the Clarke calculator, which solved equations dealing with long-distance electrical transmissions. Electricity is connected to the element of fire.

For this spell, you will need:
* 4 quarter candles in holders
* Matches
* Personal energy

Light the quarter candles. Cast a circle by cupping your hands in front of you, imagining a sphere of light. Open your hands and arms wide, imagining it encompassing your entire living space, including the attic and/or basement.

Walk through your home deosil (clockwise), placing your hands on every device that uses electricity and on every switch plate, saying:

Thank you, Edith and electricity,
for improving my quality of
life in so many ways.

Ground the energy when you’ve completed your circuit by placing your palms on the ground. Imagine any excess energy draining into the earth. Imagine the circle fading into the earth with it. Then extinguish the quarter candles.

This can be done seasonally or annually, as needed.
