Spell: A Father’s Day Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is Litha and the Summer Solstice. The sun is at its zenith, giving us the year’s longest day. It’s also Father’s Day. This is fitting since the sun represents masculine energy, and for many of us, our father, like the sun, is the center of our universe. For this spell, I want you to remember how your father has helped you with his hands and then create something for him using your hands.

First gaze at your hands. Do you also see your father’s hands in them? Recall how your father’s hands have helped you. Did they steady you the first time you rode a bike? Did they help teach you a sport? Did they hold you? Now, visualizing your father’s hands, create something for your father using your hands. It could be something simple, like a card, or you could bake his favorite food or create a handcrafted item he taught you how to make. End by giving your creation to your father. Tell him how much you appreciate the help and comfort his hands have given you over the years.
