For this spell you will need a small mirror and five candles with holders in the following colors: yellow, red, blue, green, and violet.

Arrange the yellow, red, blue, and green candles on the floor in a large circle, representing the four physical elemental powers. Sit on the floor in the middle of them, with the mirror and violet candle in front of you.

Ground and center. Light each of the first four candles in turn while contemplating the elemental presence they represent. You might imagine streams of elementally colored light flowing from the cardinal directions and into the unlit central violet candle.

Now light the violet candle and say:
Four sacred things in this place be
Combined to call the fifth to me,
By four made one I call you forth,
By spirit’s song I call you in.

Begin to chant a low drone (such as “Om”) until you feel a light buzzing in your body. Gaze into the mirror and allow yourself to scry, watching for subtle images to appear in the mirror or in your mind’s eye. Feel the presence of spirit!
