Electronic Voice Phenomenon: A spiritual voice that is recorded on tape or disk. The technique involves using a recorder and microphone turned to maximum recording levels. The result is the recording of wideband noise (often called “white noise” or “pink noise”), which has within it ghostly voices that may be very clear. source: Donald Michael Kraig
