| Pull the Ace of Wands from your tarot deck. Place it on the center of your main altar. Next to it place a full-size wax figure of a right hand, to your right. Throughout the working, maintain direct and steady eye contact with the Ace of Wands; think of your survival, but look only at the ace. When you are ready, flood the room with candlelight, keeping your eyes locked on the tarot card. Then settle down before your altar to begin the working.
In a shocking, violent, and sudden motion, reach for and grasp the wax hand without taking your eyes off the card. Make this action filled with fear and the unawareness of what you are grappling for, as if you were falling from a great height and grasping your only chance at survival, when another human reaches out a hand to save your life. Envision this scenario strongly as you chant the following invocation ten times: "Palm to palm and breath to breath, help me before I've nothing left. By the hand of glory and the fist of the forge, grant me strength through support paid forward." When your work is done, return the card to your deck and leave the wax hand to rest on your altar or in a special place in your home to draw more support into your life. |
