Spell: Apple Divination

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

March 11 is Johnny Appleseed Day, which celebrates the life of a real person: John Chapman. Reputed to be a kind man, he was a leader in conservation and is responsible for introducing apple trees to many areas of the United States.

The apple has a long history of being used in Witchcraft. If you cut an apple in half horizontally (not through the stem), you will often find that the seeds form a pentagram.

If you wish to know how a ritual or spell will go, place an apple on your altar before you start. After you finish the working, slice the apple in half and study what you find. If it looks pleasing, eat one half and leave the other half as an offering outside. If the results are less than favorable, instead of consuming your half, bury it in the earth or compost.
