History: The 1970s
Time Period: 1970 - 1979The 1970s saw major growth at Llewellyn Publications.
It was during this era that Llewellyn began to appear on the radar screen of general society, which wanted to know what all this "magic stuff" was about. The Gnostica Festivals, sponsored by Carl Weschcke, were a huge hit, drawing much attention to Witchcraft and Neo-Paganism. Llewellyn titles by Dion Fortune, Aleister Crowley, and other prominent figures further added to the growing company's success.
