Using Transitional Travel

Introduction. Transitional Travel is designed not only to facilitate easy out-of-body travel during sleep, but to actualize the empowerment potential of the travel experience. The goal-oriented procedure is especially effective for such self-development goals as breaking unwanted habits, promoting a more positive self-concept, and overcoming such fears as stage fright, claustrophobia, and fear of crowds. The procedure is among the best known methods for building feelings of self-worth and security, even when those needs are not specified during the procedure. Inherent in our interactions with higher planes and ministering guides in the liberated out-of-body state seems to be a generalizing effect that targets our personal needs of the moment. Here is the five-step procedure:

Step 1. Preparation.
Just before falling asleep, relax your entire body by mentally scanning it and releasing all tension. Focus on slowing your breathing by first taking in a few deep breaths and exhaling slowly. As you become more and more relaxed, tell yourself that time is slowing down. Notice the sense of balance and attunement throughout your being.

Step 2. Affirmation.
With your body relaxed and your mind at peace, tell yourself that, as you sleep, you will be free to slip out of your body and travel to a distant destination. Selecting a specific destination is optional. You can specify a particular goal, or you can choose to travel spontaneously. Invoke higher plane protection and the empowering presence of ministering guides by affirming: "I am fully protected and secure as I travel out-of-body."

Step 3. Mental Imagery.
As you drift into drowsiness, visualize your astral body as a conscious light form disengaging your physical body and rising above it. In that projected state of awareness, view your physical body at rest enveloped in a protective glow. Give yourself permission to further disengage your physical body and travel to experience other realities.

Step 4. Astral Travel.
With your physical body at rest, you can now flow spontaneously to other realities, including a predetermined destination. For a specific destination, visualize it if possible and re-affirm your intent to experience it. Give yourself permission to gain knowledge and power from the experience. Take as much time as needed to gain fully from the experience. You will know when it is time to end travel and return to your body.

Step 5. Re-entry.
Conclude the astral adventure by turning your attention to your physical body at rest and giving yourself permission to return to it. Once you have returned to your body, you may choose either to awaken from sleep or to allow restful sleep to continue uninterrupted. Upon awakening, review the experience and reflect on its empowering effects.

Purpose & User Benefit: Managing Stress and affirming Positive Feeling of Self-Worth during transitional life situations such as Career Change, Breaking up of Relationships, Financial Losses.
