Crystal Cleansing
This article was written by Phyllis Galde on May 29, 2002 posted under There are many different viewpoints on crystal cleansing, and whether it’s even necessary or not. Follow your own feelings/intuitions on this. If you do feel your crystal needs cleansing, then it probably does. Here are some suggested methodsof cleansing and clearing crystals. Use whatever feels right for you.
Use spring water and mix salt in it; preferably sea salt. Use a teaspoon to a tablespoon in a cup or more of water. Let the crystal soak overnight. Some say that salt is too harsh, and it removes energy, but is all right to use on a crystal thath as much negativity attached to it. Others say that salt seals the crystal and traps the energy within it. It’s just like swimming in salt water—it leaves your skin coated, but swimming in fresh water leaves you feeling refreshed and exhilarated.
You can run cold water over the crystal to cleanse it, as will just holding it in your hands visualizing it being cleansed by light, or by Niagara Falls. Crystals love to be out in the sunlight, because they are radiant energy sources. This is an excellent way to restore their energy. You owe it to your stones to give them some Sun! You can clear crystals by resting them in rose petals. The rose essence strips only the negativity from the crystals.
If you have a piece which has a particularly strong charge that you want to get rid of, bury it in the moist ground. If you live in the desert, water the immediate area it’s buried under. Give the crystal a week or two (minimum of three days) to ground out.
When you dip or soak your crystal in water, bless the water. This will transform its energies into usefulness and thanks before you pour the water on a plant or onto the Earth.

They may need help with their finances, they may need help with their families, they may need help with their health; whatever the topic, there are people in this world in need, and it seems we often tend to forget... read this article
