Bath Kol: (or Bat Qol) (“Heavenly Voice”) According to ancient tradition, it was Bath Kol who was first to ask Cain where his brother was. He is also believed to have visited rabbi Simion ben Yohai, reputed author of The Zohar, while he was in prison. Bath Kol helps people engaged in prophecy. Diviners can call out Bath Kol’s name to help understand an omen or intuition. The next words the diviner hears are believed to contain the answer.
