Gemini is the natural third zodiacal sign, associated with Mercury, and related to the hands and arms. Born under this sign, you possess intellectual curiosity and are fond of talking, gesticulating. In the kitchen you are active and quick; you experiment, and you are conscious of what close relatives think of your culinary concoctions…
You love change, travel, variety; you are restless and anxious to explore. This applies to food as well as other areas. Your sign is of the Air element; you are fun to be with, but you burn up a great deal of energy, which means that those around your table are treated to numerous snacks—sometimes so much so that by the time the entrée is served, appetites have waned. It takes a bit of planning for the appetizers to serve their proper function. When around you, people love to chat over hors d’oeuvre, including Gemini Soup.
Gemini Soup (Serves 6-8) 3 Avocados 3 cups chicken broth or bouillon 1 1/2 Cucumbers, peeled and sliced 3/4 Cup sour cream 3 tablespoons lemon juice 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 3 large tomatoes, peeled and diced Dash Tabasco
Puree avocados with all the ingredients except tomatoes. Chill thoroughly, then garnish with the tomatoes.
