How to Be Abundant Everyday
This article was written by Carrie Obry posted under Self-Help
The Secret was published in 2006 and shows no sign of waning in popularity, with more than four million copies sold and thousands still selling every week. The Secret made the law of attraction a global phenomenon by teaching us all what amounts to a simple principle: like attracts like. Think positively, and you will attract positive things to you. Some would say the book is problematic because it involves a whole lot of glitz and very little instruction about what such a potentially powerful principle really means to us on an individual level. Understanding the law of attraction intellectually may be a pretty simple affair: you put good thoughts out, you get good stuff back. But actually living it, emotionally and for the long haul, is something else all together. The more time you spend with the law of attraction, the more you realize it is a deeply spiritual principle that involves a lot of challenges and hurdles along with its obvious rewards. Debra Katz, author of You Are Psychic and Extraordinary Psychic, has been teaching manifestation, visualization, and attraction techniques over the course of her fifteen-year career as a psychic. In doing so, she has learned firsthand that the law of attraction is founded on what few people actually acknowledge: alchemy, intuition, and magic. She shows her clients that resistance sometimes comes from a divine source we can barely comprehend—and then gives them powerful techniques to clear their path, emotionally and metaphysically. Freeing the Genie offers a comprehensive approach to seeing ourselves as something far more powerful, more creative, more valuable than we’ve seen before. The emphasis is not just on thoughts, affirmations, or the things we wish to create. It’s about seeing ourselves in totality: as the magical, spiritual creators we are. Katz shows readers how to synthesize creativity, intuition, and intention in cooperation with methods taught in other popular books about manifesting and the law of attraction.
