Incense of the day: Daffodil The apple tree was very sacred in Celtic tradition. Its fruit and its branches were considered to tokens of passage to the otherworld. In the story, "The Voyage of Bran," a fairy woman appears and hands Bran a beautiful apple branch of silver and crystal. This is meant as an invitation to the sacred Realms of Faerie. Here is a May-time spell for connecting with the otherworld. Find a fallen apple branch (crabapple is fine), peel off the bark, and sand it. Paint the branch silver, and attach small bells or crystals.
