Incense of the day: Jasmine As the Christian world celebrates renewal, use this time to meditate on the shared beliefs of cultures and religions of the world. Resurrection stories have been found in nearly every culture throughout history. (This is also the day the Japanese celebrate Buddha's birthday.) Obtain some seeds for a plant you'd like to grow. Prepare the soil-or container-and plant the seeds. Visualize the life cycle of growth, death, and rebirth that occurs in the natural world as you plant these seeds. Think of all the patterns of renewal that occur in life and keep this in mind as you tend your young seedlings. As you plant them, chant the following: Cycles of life, waxing, waning, Success and strife, waxing, waning, Tides of power, waxing, waning, Seed to flower, waxing, waning. |
