Spell: Terminalia: A Day of Endings

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The last day of the ancient Roman year is called Terminalia, and it was celebrated on this day. We officially celebrate endings, doing so on three levels: gross, subtle, and casual.
First, take care of the physical. You may wish to remove things from a desk, pantry, or closet that are past their usefulness.
Next, take care of your psychic and emotional space. Wrap yarn or a thread between your pinky and thumb of the same hand to symbolize the lingering connections you have to past loves, friends, or foes.
Sever these ties one at a time by cutting each thread after you honor the lessons of the relationship.
Now is also the time to bring an appropriate end to magic work completed or left in process. Take care of leftover ritual items and altars. Return things to their proper place today; finish, or let go of, what you started, and get ready to begin anew.
As you tie up all loose ends, visualize and then firmly establish your boundaries with the concretizing Sanskrit syllables: HUM PHAT.
