August is the time of Lugh, the Celtic god known for his variety of skills. What have you always wanted to try but have never had the time or opportunity to do? Let Lugh bless it!

Pick one thing and block out regular time (daily or weekly) to work on it for the next three months. Before you start, perform this spell.

 Gather these items:

A yellow candle

A small dish

A citrine crystal

Sunflower petals or seeds

A small bag

A journal and pen

 Light the candle. Say:

Lugh, bless me as I learn (add skill).

Give me the strength, patience,

and time to explore it.

So mote it be.

Pour a little candle wax into the dish to create a disk. Carve your initials into it. Place the wax disk, the citrine, and the sunflower petals or seeds in the bag. Keep the bag with you as you learn your new skill, and track your progress in your journal. Let the candle burn down safely.
