Spell: Religious Tolerance Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

On March 7, 1965 about 525 people began a fifty-four mile march from Selma to Montgomery, in Alabama, demonstrating for the voting rights of the local African-American population. This is a good day to empower our communities with racial and religious tolerance and togetherness. To do so, light seven candles, one in each color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet). As you light each candle, say:

Red, black, yellow, white,
All are held close by light.
All religions and their creeds,
Grow their roots from these seeds.

Place the seven candles in a circle around a gold candle. As you light the gold candle, repeat the above verse, and add the following words as well:

What we sow we reap times three,
Let our tolerance set us free.
